Olympic Multi-Family MGMT is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for residential communities in Thurston County, WA. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with general repair skills who can support daily maintenance operations and ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment.

Job Type & Location

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Location: Thurston County, WA (On-site)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• On-Call: Required (after-hours emergency rotation)

Compensation

• Pay: $24 – $26 per hour

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician supports the day-to-day maintenance of apartment communities, including repairs, inspections, and unit preparation. This role works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to ensure properties remain safe, functional, and rent-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and work orders efficiently
• Perform general repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliances)
• Assist with unit turns to prepare apartments for new tenants
• Support preventive maintenance programs
• Inspect units, buildings, and common areas regularly
• Maintain property cleanliness including grounds and shared spaces
• Assist with inventory and maintenance supplies
• Coordinate with vendors when required
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues (on-call rotation)
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs
• Follow safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience (required)
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Basic computer/mobile app skills (for work orders)
• Must have own basic tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Capable of standing, bending, climbing stairs, and repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
